Job summary

Charterhouse Brisbane is seeking a Finance Business Partner to move beyond the numbers and become a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. You’ll translate financial data into insights that shape strategy, drive performance and influence key decisions.

You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and monthly management reporting, with a focus on profitability and efficiency. Strong analytical ability with ERP tools and Power BI will be essential to deliver clear performance updates

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or business, and CPA or CA qualified (or working towards).
• Proven experience in a business partnering, FP&A or commercial finance role.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and financial modelling ability.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence at all levels.
• Experience with ERP and reporting tools (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders/operations to provide commercial insight and financial guidance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning cycles.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Develop business cases and support investment and pricing decisions.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses to support decision-making.
• Track KPIs and present performance updates to senior management and executives.
• Support capital expenditure reviews and project evaluations.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, systems and controls.
• Collaborate with the broader finance team to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting.
