Job summary

The Salvation Army in Melbourne is seeking a Finance Analyst in a permanent, full-time role to join our Finance team. You will deliver data-driven insights, predictive analysis, and commercial support to drive informed decision-making and improve business performance.

Working closely with the Finance Business Partner and operational leaders, you will manage budgeting and forecasting, monitor performance against targets, and translate complex data into clear recommendations for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into insights for decision-making.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial and reporting systems.

We are seeking a Finance Analyst for a permanent, full-time opportunity to join our Finance team in Melbourne. Key Responsibilities

• Support Finance Business Partner with financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities

About You

You are an analytical and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to solve problems and improve business performance. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships will be critical as you collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders across the portfolio and broader finance function.

Key Capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree and post graduate qualifications in a relevant field such as Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• CPA/CA (or progress towards) is preferred.
• Experience in financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial and reporting systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams
