East Coast Injury Lawyers is a Southeast Qld-based plaintiff personal injury firm seeking a full-time Finance/Accounts Officer. The role involves managing daily financial operations from one of our Robina, Beenleigh, or North Lakes offices.

You will handle payroll, trust accounts, BAS, and financial reporting, working closely with Directors and the Practice Manager to maintain accuracy and compliance. A friendly, balanced workplace is offered with competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Has at least 2 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper or Finance/Accounts Officer.
• Experience in the legal industry is strongly preferred but not compulsory.
• Must be a motivated team player who is trustworthy and reliable.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Process client disbursements and office expenses.
• Prepare tax invoices and manage trust account transactions (QLS compliant).
• Oversee fortnightly payroll end to end and issue payslips.
• Prepare and reconcile superannuation contributions and BAS payments.
• Perform month-end compliance and reconciliations; data entry of transactions.
• Provide financial documents to accountants and maintain paperless records.
• Generate periodic financial performance reports and cashflow projections.
• Draft accounting policies and procedure manuals.

We have an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Finance/Accounts Officer to join our team based out of one of our offices at Robina, Beenleigh or North Lakes.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Payment of client disbursements and office expenses;
• Preparing tax invoices;
• Managing all trust account transactions and compliance with QLS;
• End to end processing of fortnightly payroll including preparation and issuing payslips;
• Preparing and reconciling superannuation contributions;
• Payment of BAS (PAYG tax and GST) and superannuation liabilities;
• End of month compliance and reconciliations;
• Data entry of credit card transactions and other transactions;
• Providing accountants with financial documentation;
• Maintaining records as a paperless office;
• Providing periodic financial performance reports including cashflow projection spreadsheets; and
• Preparation of policies and accounting procedure instructions / manuals.

The successful candidate will:

• Have at least 2 years’ experience working as a Bookkeeper or Finance/Accounts Officer;
• Experience working in the legal industry strongly preferred but not compulsory;
• Be a highly motivated team player who is trustworthy and reliable; and
• Have strong attention to detail especially with respect to accuracy of data entry.
