Neara is seeking an ambitious and hands-on Accountant to own day-to-day accounting for our Australian and UK entities. You’ll handle AP, payroll, reconciliations and compliance while contributing to month-end close and reporting in a fast-moving tech environment.

You’ll be close to the numbers with CA/CPA (or in progress) and experience with Xero, GST/BAS, and Australian payroll. Flexible, hybrid work from our Sydney area office in Redfern is offered.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting/finance (AP, payroll or assistant accountant)
• CA or CPA designation or working toward
• Familiarity with cloud accounting (Xero)
• Basic GST/BAS processing and Australian payroll
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment

Responsabilités

• Manage accounts payable and expenses across AU & UK entities
• Process supplier invoices, coding, approvals and weekly payments
• Handle employee expense reimbursements and monthly reconciliations
• Own AP system workflow and resolve coding discrepancies
• Ensure invoices are paid within terms and avoid lapse in subscriptions
• Support month-end close, accruals, prepayments and GL maintenance
• Maintain fixed asset register and contribute to management reporting
