Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities on Barrow Island seeks an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the mechanical workshop, oversee HV and LV vehicles, and drive safe, efficient operations.

The role is FIFO with a 2:2 roster (12-hour days), offering strong remuneration and a site allowance. You will coach mechanics and trade staff to deliver quality work on schedule while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction or maintenance.
• 2+ years' experience in a supervisory role preferred.
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily pre-starts and share site information.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a safe workshop environment.
• Support planning and scheduling of workshop activities.
• Monitor work orders, bookings and progress reporting.
• Conduct spot audits for safety and compliance.
• Facilitate toolbox meetings and progress reporting.
• Coach and mentor team members and identify development opportunities.
• Assist with fault finding, supplier contact and parts delivery.
