Job summary

Coffey Testing is seeking experienced Technicians to join our FIFO Darwin Team for opportunities across Australia. The role focuses on soil, aggregates and concrete testing, both in the field and in the lab, to support major rail, mining and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will hold experience in soils/aggregates testing, a current manual driver’s licence, and ideally a NATA signatory qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory and field testing of soils, aggregates, and/or concrete to relevant standards.
• Familiarity with NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• NATA approved Signatory (if applicable).
• NDM Radiation license (highly advantageous).
• Current manual driver's licence is required.
• Able to perform physically demanding, manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking a variety of manual tasks in the field, including preparing and testing soil, aggregates, and concrete samples.
• Liaising with client onsite on testing schedules, procedures and results.
• Ensuring testing is performed in accordance with industry standards (AS1289, AS1012).
• Carrying out routine quality assurance checks and calibrations, maintaining equipment.
• Providing accurate test results and timely output of work.
