The role is FIFO based in the Pilbara region of WA. The roster is 4 days on and 3 days off. The work comprises of maintaining the structural integrity of existing Ore-Processing Facility (OPF) assets on an existing mine site.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Prepare Structural design calculations to relevant standards and specifications.
• Prepare sketches and scopes for remedial works.
• Inspections and reports of defective assets onsite.
• Attend stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with stakeholders onsite to produce efficient and practical remedial work packages.

The skills sets that we are looking for are:

• At least 7 years experience in structural engineering. Previous experience in the mining sector is preferred but not a requirement.
• Experience in design software, such as spacegass.
• Experience with current Australian Standards specifically AS1170, AS4100 and AS3600.
• Ability to produce high quality PDF sketches using programs, such as Bluebeam.
• Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects.
• Great communication skills, verbally and written.

The role is Contract-based offering $90 an hour inclusive of Super. The project is expected to be ongoing. We are seeking someone who is self motivated and keen to grow within the role.
