Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a FIFO Service Technician Mechanical for permanent full-time roles based in Karratha or Kalgoorlie. You will execute maintenance programs for mechanical and power generation equipment, ensuring safe operations. Candidates must be trade qualified and have experience with generators or heavy mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Mechanical Technician.
• Experience with generators, diesel engines, or heavy mechanical/power generation equipment is highly regarded.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in field service environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned maintenance and repair programs for mechanical and power generation equipment.
• Conduct routine mechanical servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics on generators and associated equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities according to Aggreko safety standards.
• Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting to customers on-site.

Skills

Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Mechanical Technician

Experience with generators or heavy mechanical equipment

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Valid Driver’s Licence

Forklift licence (advantage)

MR truck licence (advantage)

Basic computer literacy
