Job summary

DIAB Engineering seeks qualified crew members with proven experience to join our Western Australian shutdown and maintenance teams. The role focuses on maintaining fixed plant equipment and improving machine reliability through precise setup, measurement, assembly and hydraulic/pneumatic fault-finding.

The ideal candidate will hold a WA HR or manual C license, complete safety tickets, and be able to work in remote Western Australia with FIFO from Perth.

Qualifications

• Valid WA Driver’s License – HR or manual C class preferred.
• Within 2 years: Working at Heights and Confined Space Tickets.
• Australian recognised trade certification: Cert III in Mechanical Fitting or Cert III Fitting and Machining.
• National Police Clearance within 6 months.
• Drug & Alcohol Screen within 28 days.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance/repair of fixed plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant and equipment to maximise availability.
• Set up and operate metalworking machines to produce parts or tools.
• Read blueprints and measure parts using precision instruments.
• Assemble machined parts and fit with drill holes and bolts as required.
• Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Operate powered machines, including manual and computer-controlled where applicable.
• Inspect machinery on site and perform adjustments or repairs as needed.
