Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1/B2) to join our Engineering team in Adelaide on a FIFO 20 days on/20 days off roster. You will perform heavy and line maintenance on Dash 8 Classic aircraft, ensuring maintenance, documentation and certification align with MOE procedures and CAMO requirements.

You will hold safety as a core value, manage shift handovers, and work with a skilled team to deliver mission-critical aviation support for government and national

Qualifications

• Experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) with B1 or B2 license.
• Proven heavy and line maintenance experience on relevant aircraft.
• DHC8 Classic type rating is required or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy and line maintenance on Dash 8 Classic aircraft.
• Ensure all maintenance, documentation and certification per MOE and CAMO requirements.
• Maintain safety standards and participate in safety programs.

About The Team

We conduct airborne missions for the Australian Government across maritime surveillance and search and rescue operations. With bases strategically positioned across Australia, we operate a fully integrated in-house aviation capability which includes flight operations, maintenance organisation, training organisation and operations centre.

The Opportunity

Opportunity for a B1 or B2 Dash 8 Classic Type Rated LAME to join our Engineering team in a FIFO role working a 20 days on 20 days off roster. The role will see you working 10-hour days in both am and pm shifts, your responsibilities will include;

• Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
• Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements
• Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
• Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers
• Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS

Essential For This Role

• Experienced LAME B1 or B2 licensed
• Heavy and Line maintenance Experience
• Hold a DHC8 classic type rating

This role requires the successful applicant to hold full Australian working rights.

Applicants may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. In certain circumstances this can place limitations on persons who hold dual nationality, permanent residency or are former nationals of certain countries as per ITAR 126.1.
