Job summary

Delta Facilities Management seeks an Australian Trade Qualified Painter to join the BHP Olympic Dam team on a Casual basis for on-site project works. DIDO options exist from Roxby Downs, with flights from Adelaide. You will join a Camp and Accommodation Maintenance team across a large village/minesite facility.

Role covers painting prep, premixing paints, fixture removal, and extensive site safety compliance; 12-hour days paid with above-award wages and site perks are included.

Qualifications

• Australian Recognised Trade Qualification of Painter (Cert 3 in Painting and decorating).
• Current Australian Drivers Licence, White Card.
• Police Check within 12 months.
• Well versed in all maintenance process and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Able to Pass a Pre-Employment Medical Including Drug & Alcohol Screening.
• Able to FIFO from Adelaide Airport or DIDO nearby to Roxby Downs.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to The Hub Scheduling Team.
• Working in remote Accommodation Villages including Temporary and Permanent Housing, Commercial Kitchens, Dining Rooms, Laundry, Office Buildings etc.
• Prioritising works & meet rectification deadlines.
• Range of tasks including preparing surfaces for painting, premixing paints, removing fixtures, fill nail holes, cracks, joints.
• Working 12 Hour Days (11 Hours Paid + 1 Hour Lunch break).
• Ensure all the activities are performed in accordance with moral, ethical, legal standards and maintain best FM practice.

We are seeking an Australian Trade Qualified Painter to join the BHP Olympic Dam team on a Casual basis. This position will be for project works required on site. DIDO options for locals to Roxby Downs. You'll be working amongst a Camp and Accommodation Maintenance team of approximately 60 Delta Team, on a BHP site comprising of 2650 rooms in Village, 500 homes in Roxby Downs and another 462 in Minesite. Site includes amenities such as Pools, BBQ’s, Gym, Squash Room, Outdoor area with Courts etc. Flights are from Adelaide Airport, approx. 90 mins, or DIDO from Roxby Downs. Ideal candidate is available to begin the recruitment process immediately.
