Job summary

Hanwha Defence Australia is seeking a Field Training Representative – Maintainer (FTR-M) to develop and deliver high-quality training solutions for advanced land vehicle programs. The role collaborates with Field Service Representatives, technical specialists and customers to create engaging, blended learning experiences.

This position can be based in Melbourne or Avalon and involves domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing, developing and delivering training solutions.
  • Instructor/training facilitator experience.
  • Knowledge of military vehicle development standards desirable.
  • Defence or technical maintenance environment experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training products across the SADL lifecycle (ADDIE).
  • Act as SME for HDA land vehicle maintenance training.
  • Contribute to training documentation, LMS packages, LSARs and eLearning products.
  • Deliver maintainer training programs and practical instruction on HDA equipment.
  • Conduct training evaluations and collect student feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborate with customers, OEMs, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to improve outcomes.
  • Support Field Service Representatives in Defence training establishments when required.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical expertise across HDA platforms.

About the Role:

As a Field Training Representative – Maintainer (FTR-M), you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality training solutions that support Hanwha Defence Australia's advanced land vehicle programs. You will work closely with Field Service Representatives, technical specialists and customers to develop training products through the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) process and deliver engaging, blended learning experiences.

This position can be based in Melbourne or Avalon and offers opportunities for domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of training products throughout the SADL (ADDIE) lifecycle.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HDA land vehicle maintenance training.
  • Contribute to training documentation, Learning Management Packages (LMPs), LSARs, IETPs and eLearning products.
  • Deliver maintainer training programs and practical instruction on HDA equipment.
  • Conduct training evaluations and student feedback activities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with customers, OEMs, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to enhance training outcomes.
  • Support Field Service Representatives within Defence training establishments and user units when required.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical expertise across HDA platforms.
About You:

You are a technically qualified professional with a passion for training, knowledge sharing and capability development. You enjoy working with diverse stakeholders and can translate complex technical information into engaging learning experiences.

Experience:
  • Experience in training design, development and delivery.
  • Experience as an instructor, trainer, teacher or learning facilitator.
  • Knowledge of military standards and regulations relating to vehicle development is desirable.
  • Experience working within Defence or a technical maintenance environment is highly regarded.
Qualifications:
Mandatory

Trade or technical qualification in one of the following:

  • Vehicle Mechanic
  • TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
