Job summary

APD Global in Brisbane is seeking a Field Supervisor to join the Wireless Project Delivery Team. You will oversee construction, installation, fibre works and integration of mobile base stations, coordinating crews and subcontractors to meet project milestones.

You will ensure compliance with safety standards, manage risks, and provide timely updates to the Project Manager while maintaining high-quality construction practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Supervisor in telecommunications and wireless mobile projects.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications and fiber optic networks.
• Construction White Card certification.
• Effective verbal and written communication for producing reports and documentation.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Schedule subcontractors, employees, equipment and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee and direct field activities from conception to completion.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Direct and manage crews plus any subcontractors on site.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues; manage risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and proper techniques through training.
• Provide plans and documents to field staff and ensure crew preparedness.
• Visit job sites regularly to observe organization, identify issues and take corrective actions.
• Report daily activity on app-based software.
• Attend weekly company meetings and assist Project Manager with project statuses.

Position Overview

You will join the deployment team at our Brisbane office as a Field Supervisor. You will be responsible for working as part of the Wireless Project Delivery Team that is responsible for the Construction, Technical Installation, Fibre works and integration of Mobile Base Stations. The role requires you to work as part of the construction team across the Wireless project.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule subcontractors, employees, equipment and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

Oversee and direct field activities from conception to completion.

Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.

Direct and manage crews plus any subcontractors on site

Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.

Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques through consistent training.

Provide plans and/or documents to field staff and provide instruction to ensure crew leader and crew are prepared to complete the job.

Visit job sites on a regular basis, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving project issues and taking necessary actions to ensure quality and timely completion

Report daily activity on app-based software

Participate in daily crews start up

Attend and contribute at assigned weekly company meetings

Assist Project Manager weekly with current project statuses

Requirements

Proven experience as a Supervisor in telecommunications and wireless mobile projects (preferably Telstra networks).

Strong understanding of telecommunications and fiber optic networks.

Construction White Card certification.

Effective verbal and written communication skills for producing reports and documentation.

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and Excel.

Strong commitment to site safety and compliance.
