Job summary

Thales is seeking a Field Service Technician to join the Scylla In Service Support Team at our Rockingham site, maintaining and repairing complex Sensor Systems fitted to Collins class submarines. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on state-of-the-art equipment on RAN ships and land-based sites, lead technical tasks, and ensure documentation in information systems.

Applicants should have Cert IV Electronic Engineering or equivalent, IT networking knowledge, and defence

Qualifications

• Proven fault finding and problem diagnosis in complex equipment.
• Experience in Defence or Defence industry environment desirable.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office and basic IT networking is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on sensor systems and equipment.
• Lead technical aspects of maintenance activities.
• Communicate task status and issues with Supervisors and Maintenance Managers.
• Develop and capture maintenance records in information systems.
