TOMRA is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair our reverse vending machines across Tasmania. You will travel between sites with a fully serviced EV, focusing on conveyors, sensors, motors, and other equipment.
A clean driving record and a proactive, self-starting attitude are essential. The role requires weekends on a rotating roster and background checks, including driving history and pre-employment medicals.
Our mission? Clean Loop Recycling: a smarter, greener way to keep drink containers in circulation and out of our oceans, streets, and landfills. Thanks to our cutting-edge reverse vending technology, used containers get a second (and third, and fourth!) chance at life turning back into containers again and again.
With over 900 collection points across New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia, Victoria, and Tasmania, we’re proud to be making a real difference across Australia.
When you join TOMRA, you become a Looper and part of a passionate crew that’s all about doing good for the planet and our communities. We live and breathe our values of Responsibility, Passion, and Innovation, and we’re always looking for people who share that energy to join us.
We’re also proud to be an equal opportunity employer, celebrating the diversity of our team and the communities we serve. No matter your background, culture, language, or life journey your perspective matters here.
Maintain, service and repair TOMRA's pioneering reverse vending machine (RVM) installations and bulk processing equipment within your area of Tasmania to ensure maximum machine uptime and customer satisfaction.
This role will focus on conveyors, sensors, motors, mobile comms and other equipment.
Driving between locations is a large part of the role & so a clean driving record & love for being on the road is paramount.
This is a highly autonomous position that would suit someone who enjoys working individually and is a highly motivated self‑starter.
The successful candidate will be placed on a rotating roster which will include weekends.
Background checks will include a driver history check, federal police check and a pre‑employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
A fully serviced electrical vehicle is supplied for this role- the successful candidate will need to have the ability to install a charger in a secure place for overnight vehicle charging.
