In Vitro Technologies Pty is seeking a licensed Electrician to join our medical technical service team as a Field Service Technician on the Gold Coast. You will service hospital sterilisation equipment across the region, performing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.

This permanent, Monday–Friday role may require occasional overtime and travel to Northern NSW. Candidates should bring a current QLD Electrical Licence, own tools, reliable transport, and a customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician with a current QLD Electrical Licence.
• Based on the Gold Coast; willing to travel to Northern NSW.
• Experience with steam, mechanical, washing or sterilisation equipment is beneficial.
• Own tools and reliable transport.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to obtain pre-employment medical, Police check and Working With Children check.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance, servicing and breakdown repair of Steam Sterilisers and Medical Washers in hospital Sterilisation departments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of equipment.
• Liaise with customers and report servicing and breakdown actions.
• Maintain safe work environments and follow safety procedures.
• Manage spare parts inventory and usage; report on stocking levels.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.

In Vitro Technologies is a Healthcare and Scientific distribution organisation who specialise in the sales, marketing, and support of medical products throughout Australia and New Zealand.

We work exclusively with commercial customers - serving hospitals, universities, and dental practices, primarily supporting CSD staff and Hospital Engineering Departments.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our medical technical service team are looking for a licensed Electrician to join us as a Field Service Technician based on the Gold Coast.

You'll work in hospitals across the Gold Coast, carrying out routine maintenance and breakdown work on Medical Washers and Steam Sterilisers in hospital Sterilisation departments. Most of your work will be on the Gold Coast, with occasional travel to Northern NSW (Tweed, Lismore or Grafton) if required.

Prior knowledge of steam, mechanical, washing or sterilisation equipment is beneficial but not necessary. We're welcoming of people with similar track records in different industries which will contribute to the breadth of our teams' experience.

The role is permanent and Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime or after-hours call-outs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Routine maintenance, servicing and breakdown repair of Steam Sterilisers and Medical Washers in hospital Sterilisation departments
• Troubleshooting and repairing the mechanical, electrical, and electronic elements of our customers' equipment
• Customer liaison and reporting of equipment servicing and breakdown support
• Maintaining safe work environments and following safe operational practices
• Maintaining and reporting on spare part holdings, inventory, and usage
• Safety & Regulatory compliance

ABOUT YOU:

• Licensed Electrician with a current QLD Electrical Licence and a good mechanical mindset
• Located on the Gold Coast
• Knowledge of steam, mechanical, washing or sterilisation equipment is beneficial but not necessary
• Own tools and reliable transport
• Current driver's licence
• Service and operational experience with tools and related instruments
• PC literate with effective written and verbal skills
• Problem solving ability and troubleshooting awareness
• Flexible approach to occasional overtime, after-hours call-outs and travel to Northern NSW
• Able to obtain pre-employment medical check
• Hold or able to obtain Police check
• Hold or able to obtain Working With Children check
