Job summary

Henry Schein Australia is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our service team and deliver preventative maintenance across dental equipment in customers' practices. This field-based role focuses on reliability, safety, compliance and uptime of equipment.

You will perform inspections, calibrations, testing and documentation, build trusted customer relationships, and promote proactive maintenance programs while adhering to safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service or customer-facing technical support.
• Strong mechanical, electrical or electronic aptitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service schedules.
• Computer literacy: MS Office; Salesforce desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled preventative maintenance services on dental equipment.
• Perform inspections, servicing, validation, calibration, testing and compliance activities per manufacturer specs and Australian Standards.
• Identify equipment risks, wear, faults and remedial repair requirements before they become critical.
• Accurately document maintenance findings, compliance outcomes and service recommendations.
• Escalate repair and replacement opportunities through established service and sales processes.
• Educate customers on equipment operation, maintenance requirements and best-practice care.
• Build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical advisor.
• Promote the value of preventative maintenance programs and support customer retention.
