Job description

An opportunity exists for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Equipment team, based from Townsville, Queensland or remotely operating via Cairns, Queensland. Reporting to the Service Manager, Equipment, this role will be responsible for the mechanical work involved in repair, maintenance and servicing of turf maintenance related equipment within a nominated region in support of a wider national network.

Responsibilities

Your duties in the role include:

  • Effectively managing field Service priorities and schedules
  • Effectively maintaining a safe, clean, and resourced Service fleet vehicle
  • Coordinating and performing various mechanical work involved in repair, maintenance, and servicing of turf maintenance related equipment
  • Establishing and maintaining relevant service-related information
  • Providing product service training to clients as required
  • Establishing and maintaining a customer base to ensure the continued financial growth of the Service Centre
  • Undertaking regular internal product-based training to ensure OEM standards of Service can be achieved

Skills & Experience

You must possess:

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, including; hydraulic and electrical systems and diesel and petrol engines
  • Ability to use test and diagnostic equipment in order to determine the cause of mechanical or electrical problems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external customers
  • A valid Australian Motor Vehicle License
