Field Service Technician – Agricultural & Earthmoving Equipment

Farm & Diesel is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Field Service Technician to join our skilled and motivated team.

This is a full-time position with a strong focus on servicing, diagnostics, and repairs of a wide range of equipment including tractors, telehandlers, wheel loaders, excavators, utility vehicles, stationary engines, generators and road machinery—both in our busy workshop and out in the field.

About the Role

The successful applicant will enjoy a wide variety of responsibilities including:

  • Pre-delivery inspections, scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Field service work and breakdown support
  • Diagnostics and fault-finding using the latest tools and techniques
  • Evaluation and road testing of vehicles
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and safety

You’ll work autonomously as well as alongside a close-knit team across Farm & Diesel branches.

The Ideal Candidate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Relevant trade qualifications in vehicle or diesel mechanics
  • Experience working in field service roles
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability
  • A forklift licence (advantageous, but not essential)
  • High standards of workmanship and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and confidently
  • Trustworthiness and reliability
