Job summary

Karcher Australia is seeking a Field Service Technician to carry out preventive maintenance and mechanical and electrical repairs on commercial sweepers, floor scrubbers and pressure washers. You will diagnose breakdowns, complete overhauls and warranty repairs, and document work orders in the FS365 CRM with accuracy.

This role requires maintaining the service van, traveling to regional sites, communicating with the Service Manager, managing stock, and promoting strong customer relationships

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of service-related mechanical or electrical work in automotive workshop environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Field service experience.
• Battery electrics, hydraulics or combustion engine-powered equipment diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial cleaning equipment (sweepers, floor scrubbers, pressure washers).
• Diagnose and repair breakdowns; complete overhauls and warranty repairs.
• Maintain the service van and workshop in a safe, orderly manner.
• Complete service documentation of work orders in FS365 CRM with accurate records.
• Communicate daily with Service Manager and Scheduler.
• Control van stocks and manage parts during stock takes.
• Identify sales leads and communicate with the sales team.
• Promote strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

Job description

The Field Service Technician role is responsible for carrying outmechanical & electricalservice and repair work.

This is how you WOW:

Perform preventive maintenance, mechanical and electricalrepairs to a high standard on commercial sweepers, floor scrubbers and pressure washers

Diagnose & repair breakdowns accurately, complete overhauls,warranty repairs, carry out pre deliveries across the full range of Karcher Industrial cleaning equipment

Maintain the service van, including supplied tools, and workshop in a safe & orderly manner

Complete service documentation of work orders on Karchers’ CRM - Microsoft FS365, ensuring accurate records are kept at a high standard

Effective daily communication with Service Manager & Scheduler

Control van stocks in accordance with customer base – ensuring 5% difference adhered to during all stock takes

Identifying and communicating sales leads to relevant sales person

Promoting healthy relationships with customers and colleagues

It would be WOW if you would bring this in:

At least 3 to 5 years of service related mechanical or electrical work in aautomotive workshop environment well regarded

Mechanical or auto electrician experience is well regarded

Field service experience

Diagnostic troubleshooting on battery electrics, hydraulics and/or combustion engine-powered equipment

Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record

Proven experience in cleaning / forklift / automotive industries well regarded

A self-starter who can effectively work autonomously when required

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team

Proven ability to understand and communicate information of a technical nature

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to adhere to a work schedule

Willingness to travel and stay overnight (regional jobs), as required
