HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our client’s After Sales team in Dalby, QLD. The role focuses on field responses, servicing, fault diagnostics and building strong customer relationships to maximise machine uptime.

As a trade-qualified technician, you will diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults, work independently or with a team, and occasionally support workshop operations. A MR/HR licence is highly regarded.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification required.
  • Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in earthmoving or construction equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Experience with fault diagnostics and diagnostic software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Safety-first mindset with WHS/OHS knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer breakdowns and service calls in the field.
  • Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on customer equipment.
  • Diagnose customer issues onsite and over the phone.
  • Provide technical support and fault-finding assistance.
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Provide photos and supporting documentation for warranty claims.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and deliver high levels of service.
  • Support workshop staff and operations when required.
  • Maintain a professional personal and vehicle presentation.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety requirements.

HOBAN Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our client's After Sales team.

Our client is a leading provider of heavy equipment solutions, delivering sales, servicing, repairs, technical support and after-sales service across the construction, earthmoving and material processing industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified technician who enjoys working in the field, solving mechanical and electrical faults, and building strong customer relationships while supporting machine uptime and performance.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing timely responses and solutions to customer issues on equipment in the field. You may also be required to work on construction equipment and support workshop operations as directed.

Location: Dalby, QLD

You will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction through repairs, servicing, fault diagnostics and technical support, helping customers maximise machine uptime and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant trade qualification
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-trade experience within the earthmoving, construction equipment or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
  • Experience with fault diagnostics and diagnostic software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational and time management abilities
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A safety-first approach and knowledge of relevant WHS/OHS requirements
  • An MR or HR Truck Licence
  • Experience with crushing, screening or earthmoving equipment will be highly regarded
