Job summary

CTS People in Australia is seeking a proactive Field Service Technician for forklifts. The role covers servicing, diagnostics and repairs on electric, IC, and lithium forklifts, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule in a field-based setting.

You will join a tight-knit team, receive a fully equipped service vehicle, tools, PPE, and a competitive hourly rate with overtime. Expect exposure to varied diagnostics, breakdown callouts, and OHS-focused work in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic or technician (forklift experience ideal).
• 2+ years experience in a similar role (mechanical, field-based).
• Confident working independently and in the field.
• Safety-conscious and a great communicator.
• Ability to handle pressure and think on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing a mix of electric, diesel, gas, and lithium-ion forklifts.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to OEM specifications.
• Preparing job cards and listing parts, labour, and service notes.
• Supporting apprentices with training and development.
• Attending after-hours breakdowns (on a rotating roster).
