Job summary

Coates is seeking Field Service Mechanics to join the Singleton branch in NSW. This permanent full-time role involves on-site repair and maintenance of hire equipment across customer sites, with an 7am start, Monday to Friday schedule and attractive hourly rates including overtime penalties.

The successful applicant will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, manage spare parts stock and contribute to delivering reliable service for major projects across the region.

• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills.

• Safe, effective and efficient preventative maintenance, service and overhaul as required.
• Deliver a level of trust and commitment to our customers that Coates is the right supplier for the project.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site - work on large earthmoving, generators, lighting plants and boom lifts.
• Ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake any repair on site.

Based out of our Singleton branch and servicing the region, Coates Field Service Mechanics take responsibility for repair of Coates hire equipment and machinery on customer sites. Duties include:

• Safe, effective and efficient preventative maintenance, service and overhaul as required.
• Deliver a level of trust and commitment to our customers that Coates is the right supplier for the project
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site - work on large earthmoving, generators, lighting plants and boom lifts.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills
• Drivers licence (preferably MR or HR)
• Forklift and EWP tickets (beneficial)
• Effective time management and attention to detail
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
