The role

As a Field Service & Installation Technician, you’ll be on the ground installing, maintaining, and servicing Matthews’ equipment across NSW. You’ll work in a mix of environments, from warehouses to industrial sites, and help keep our customers’ production lines running smoothly.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Building and maintaining positive customer relationships
  • Taking ownership of sites and troubleshooting issues independently
  • Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance
  • Responding to corrective maintenance calls
  • Installing and commissioning equipment, sometimes over multiple days
  • Completing service reports and managing spare parts
  • Training operators and ensuring safety standards are met
  • Participating in after-hours support and occasional travel
What you’ll bring
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, you’ll be the face of Matthews on-site
  • A technical qualification (electrical/electronic trade or engineering) or strong mechanical aptitude
  • A proactive, technically minded approach and ability to work autonomously
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities or environments
  • Basic networking or software familiarity (PLCs, data systems; training provided)
  • A valid driver’s licence and availability for occasional after-hours work and travel
