About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Operations Manager to lead our field technicians, workshop technicians and parts interpreter for the Northern Territory. This pivotal role ensures the highest quality performance across our service division, driving operational excellence, safety, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

The Field Operations Manager is responsible for effectively managing the nominated team of Service Technicians in all areas of the Service business, including providing support and skill development to encourage and improve work performance. Further responsibilities include managing all service functions including maintaining customer retention and developing new business relationships. Responsibilities include:

  • Drive service lead generation and PMP frequency optimization.
  • Oversee inventory management and cost control.
  • Lead regular performance reviews and team meetings.
  • Ensure high-standard maintenance of our rental, fleet, and contract assets.
  • Monitor equipment condition, breakdowns, and service schedules.
  • Conduct quarterly branch audits and implement improvement plans.
  • Maintain communication between service and other departments.
  • Maximize sales of Overhaul, Heavy Duty Battery, and Preventative Maintenance Plans.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and forecasting.
  • Resolve disputes and site issues effectively.
  • Monitor contract compliance and wheel/tyre usage reporting.
  • Build strong relationships across branch and head office teams.
  • Lead stocktake processes and manage service escalations.
  • Take ownership of events impacting service revenue and results.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Management or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership in service operations or industrial equipment.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
