Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a Field Leader - Civil to support the Foreman in coordinating staff, plant, equipment and resources to deliver civil construction and maintenance projects safely and to a high standard.

You will lead field crews, read plans, oversee equipment use, monitor progress and assist with safety and quality outcomes across diverse works programs. A pre-employment medical may be required.

Qualifications

• Experienced civil construction professional with leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate staff, plant and resources.
• Strong safety, productivity and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support civil construction and maintenance crews.
• Coordinate daily work activities, resources and priorities.
• Assist with supervision of staff, contractors and equipment.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Operate and oversee use of civil construction equipment.
• Monitor project progress and site safety requirements.
• Support emergency response activities when required.
• Promote safe work practices and team performance.
