Job summary

Melbourne Water is seeking a Leading Hand – Natural Resource Management to join a small team and provide hands-on leadership in day-to-day delivery of natural resource management and project works. You’ll work in the field, plan tasks, allocate work based on skills, and ensure crews have the tools and guidance needed to work safely and effectively.

• Experience leading crews in Natural Resource Management or related field.
• Ability to coach and develop team members.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to communicate effectively with the crew and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring and coaching to crew members.
• Plan and coordinate daily tasks, drawing on crew strengths and skills.
• Ensure safe work practices, risk assessments and compliance.
• Support emergency response where required.
• Deliver natural resource management and project works with the team.
