Job summary

McLean Farms in Australia is seeking a Telecommunications Field Technician to install and maintain copper and fibre networks, deliver ICT support, and keep our team connected across multiple sites.

You will work closely with the Network Manager, handle service requests, troubleshoot issues, and perform field testing using OTDR and power meters while configuring switches and routers to ensure reliable performance.

Qualifications

• Experience providing ICT support and managing service desk functions.
• Proficiency installing and maintaining wireless, copper, and fibre networks.
• Familiarity with testing equipment such as OTDR and power meters.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure wireless and enterprise IT infrastructure, including switches and routers.
• Design, implement, and optimise network solutions for copper and fibre.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose network issues.
• Prepare commissioning reports for new deployments.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and supervise where required.
