Job summary

Electrical Testing Services is seeking a Field Technician in Canberra to provide electrical engineering technical services and represent ETS to clients. This on-site role offers challenging projects and collaboration with skilled professionals in a long-term career track.

The ideal candidate will hold the specified electrical technician qualification, have knowledge of Australian Standards, and bring strong communication and teamwork skills. A current driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification as an Electrical Engineering Technician or equivalent.
• Previous experience in electrical engineering technician roles preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a car.
• Knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electrical Engineers and Technologists in design and layout of electrical installations.
• Inspect designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Test electrical equipment and the electrical equipment for safety and performance.
• Test and tag equipment to meet Australian standards.
• Repair electrical equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements.
• Maintain client relationships with a focus on high-quality service.
