Job summary
HIX is growing, and we're seeking experienced Electrical Fire Technicians to join our team. This project-focused role involves installing, commissioning, programming, fault finding, and rectification of fire detection and alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and government facilities.
From day one you'll have a fully maintained company vehicle, quality equipment, modern technology, and the support of an experienced team.
Qualifications
- Current Electrical Licence required.
- White Card and full Australian working rights.
- Experience with fire detection and alarm systems.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, program and rectify fire detection and alarm systems.
- Work with Fire Indicator Panels (FIPs), EWIS, VESDA and associated equipment.
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and system repairs.
- Install and upgrade emergency and exit lighting systems.
- Assist with fire system testing and commissioning activities.
- Complete site documentation and compliance records.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and fellow Technicians.
