Job summary
Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking skilled Digger Fitters to join our Field Service team in Rolleston. You’ll work a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, performing maintenance and repairs on large CAT excavators, with strong earning potential and company benefits.
The role requires Trade qualifications, CAT product knowledge, and the ability to diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical faults. Travel between customer sites across the Rockhampton region is required.
Qualifications
- Trade qualifications in mobile plant or diesel fitter trade.
- Experience with CAT machinery and diagnostics.
- Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Customer-focused and safety-conscious mindset.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair and replace components on Caterpillar equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Ensure repairs meet Caterpillar standards and efficiency.
- Document service reports, timecards and parts requests.
- Build strong customer relationships and provide technical support.
- Promote CAT parts and identify repair opportunities.
