Job summary

AG Workforce is seeking a Regional Crop Imaging & Data Technician to collect high-quality crop imagery and data from the Gippsland, Cranbourne and South Werribee regions. The role is field-based, requires travel to farms, and supports flexible hours with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

The position involves using provided imaging equipment to capture crop images at various growth stages, recording field data, and coordinating with growers and team members.

Qualifications

• Interest or background in agriculture, agronomy or horticulture.
• Basic understanding of cropping systems.
• Able to use smartphones, tablets and apps.
• Height requirement 1.80 m for equipment.
• Willingness to travel within Greater Melbourne region.
• Own ABN or willingness to obtain one.
• Current and valid driver’s licence and suitable personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with farmers and secure access to crops for data collection.
• Utilise imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of the crop.
• Monitor crop growth and accurately record field data.
