Job summary

Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania is seeking a role to assist the Ranger-in-Charge in managing field centre operations and resources dedicated to the conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources across Tasmania. The position offers a 76 hours per fortnight arrangement with negotiation on minimums, and is located at multiple office sites around the state.

Applicants should have 5+ years in reserve management and the required First Aid and Diploma

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in reserve management or equivalent.
• Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
• To access Band 4 Range 2 salary levels the Diploma in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Ranger-in-Charge with the management of field centre operations and resources for conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources.
• Oversee field centre operations, resources, and program delivery in Tasmanian environments.
