Job summary

Carrier in Queensland, Australia is seeking a BMS Technician to gain hands-on experience with building automation systems, under the guidance of experienced professionals. This role is ideal for graduates or junior technicians building a foundation in BMS and HVAC technologies.

You’ll assist with servicing, commissioning, and system optimisation, support software configuration, testing, calibration, and documentation, and work with the team to complete site tasks safely and on time.

Qualifications

• Qualification or ongoing study in HVAC, Mechatronics, Electrical or related field.
• Interest or foundational knowledge in Building Management Systems or HVAC.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, preventative maintenance, and commissioning of BMCS/DDC control systems.
• Support software configuration, testing, calibration, and basic programming.
• Work with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and project coordination.
• Attend site meetings and safety briefings; support customers and internal teams.
