Job summary

Farm Pride Foods Ltd is seeking a practical Maintenance Worker to service buildings, machinery, fences and infrastructure across our farm sites in Australia. This role involves hands-on maintenance, safety, and record-keeping with travel to multiple sites as required.

You will work independently and as part of a team, applying basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills while following strict safety and biosecurity procedures on site.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry knowledge.
• Experience safely operating machinery, tools or equipment.
• Good communication, problem-solving, organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Physically fit and willing to work in indoor and outdoor farm environments.
• Able to travel and some overnight stays required.
• Valid full Australian driver’s licence.
• Commitment to safety and biosecurity policies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, routine inspections and practical improvement projects.
• Repair and maintain farm buildings, structures, egg collection systems and equipment.
• Assist with basic plumbing, carpentry and mechanical repairs.
• Operate farm machinery, power tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Help maintain clean, organised and safe workshops, vehicles and work areas.
• Complete maintenance records and report equipment issues or supply needs.
• Follow all safety, biosecurity, environmental and bird welfare requirements.

• Physical fitness and willingness to work in indoor and outdoor farm environments
• The ability to follow instructions and respond calmly to changing priorities
• Sound OHS knowledge and

• Able to travel and some overnight away stays required
