Job summary

Australian Seasonal Workers Pty Ltd – Hillston NSW is seeking workers for the 2027 almond harvest and related fruit farm roles. Positions include permanent and casual openings in horticulture with work expected to start mid-late January 2027 and continue up to 9 months.

Tasks cover harvesting, planting, pruning, and general line labour across citrus and nut properties. Wage details: piece and hourly rates under the Horticulture Award 2020; typical day 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Qualifications

• You must be fit and healthy with good stamina and ability to hold and lift heavy loads and work on ladders in accordance with WHS requirements.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions including early morning starts in frost conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn and apply new processes quickly.
• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to stand and walk on feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend frequently to tend to ground level tasks.
• Availability to work Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Our client is based in Robinvale, Victoria and services clients in and around the Hillston, NSW & Riverina region. Up to 100 positions are available for the upcoming 2027 Almond Harvest and other fruit farm positions in this region. You will be working with a subcontractor on horticulture properties.

Your duties will involve harvesting, planting, picking, pruning and general farm labour on citrus, almonds and other fruit and nut properties. Your job will involve task such as operating harvest machinery, fruit picking, pegging and un-pegging dripper lines, general irrigation labour, general block detail labour, pulling out tree stakes, removal of tree guards, pruning young trees, tree pruning and other horticulture tasks. Work is expected to commence middle to late January 2027 and is expected to last up to 9 months.

Work will be paid at piece rates and hourly rates depending on the work duties. The applicable award is the Horticulture Award 2020. Hours of work can vary, but a typical day would be approximately 7:00am to 3:00pm.
