Job summary

Leppington Speedy Seedlings & Supplies Pty Ltd – Yerrinbool NSW is seeking a hands-on farm supervisor to manage day-to-day operations across planting, irrigation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. The role requires coordinating activities, supervising a small team, and ensuring equipment and safety standards are met on site.

Experience in agriculture or horticulture is essential; forklift, MR, and Chemcert qualifications are preferred or can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture/horticulture required.
• Forklift license preferred or willing to obtain.
• MR license preferred or willing to obtain.
• Chemcert certificate preferred or willing to obtain.
• Tractor experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day farming operations (planting, spraying, harvesting).
• Co-ordinating planting and harvesting activities.
• Manage irrigation and paddock preparation.
• Oversee maintenance of farm equipment, infrastructure and facilities.
• Oversee harvesting, post-harvest handling, packaging and dispatch of produce.
• Supervise a small team.
• Operate various agri-machinery.
• Coordinate health and safety requirements.
• Deliver product to markets when required.

An exciting opportunity with an ATTRACTIVE SALARY in the HORTICULTURIAL / AGRICULTURAL sector.

Primary Duties

Managing the day-to-day farming operations (planting, spraying, harvesting)

Co-ordinating and carrying out all planting and harvesting activities

Manage irrigation and paddock preparation

Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all farm equipment, infrastructure, and facilities

Oversee harvesting, post-harvest handling, packaging and dispatch of produce (ready for markets)

Supervise a small team

Ability to understand and operate various types of agri-machinery

Coordinate the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements

Deliver product to markets (when required)

To be successful in the role, you will have:

Experience in agriculture / horticulture.

Forklift license (prefered or willing to obtain)

Minimum MR License (prefered or willing to obtain)

Chemcert Certificate (prefered or willing to obtain)

Tractor Experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
