Job summary

Jindalee Farming Company, a family-owned dryland cropping operation near Dalby, QLD, is seeking a reliable Full-Time Farm Hand. You will assist with planting, spraying, harvesting, grain handling, and general paddock preparation while contributing to safe, efficient farm practices.

You should hold a valid C-class license, be able to meet physical demands, and be prepared to work extended hours during peak times.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (C class) is essential.
• Willing to obtain HR/HC license.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
• Experience with farm machinery is desirable.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods.

Job description

Jindalee Farming Company are looking for a reliable and hardworking Full-Time Farm Hand to join our dryland grain farming operation. You’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the farm, assisting with a range of farming activities throughout the season and contributing to the success of our operation.

Key responsibilities

• Planting, spraying, harvesting, and general preparation of cropping paddocks
• Assist with grain storage & handling
• Perform general farm maintenance, including infrastructure upkeep and repairs
• Operate, service and maintain a range of agricultural machinery and equipment
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment in line with WHS policies and company procedures

About you

• Valid driver's license (C class) - unrestricted manual license (essential)
• A HR or HC class license will be looked upon favourably, or willing to obtain
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• General mechanical skills and ability to maintain and repair plant and equipment
• Ability to safely meet the physical demands of the role
• Flexibility to work extended hours during peak times
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
