Job summary

Huon Aquaculture is seeking an On Water Maintenance crew member for our Dover operations. You will work with the Hobart-based Control Room to ensure safe, efficient feeding and monitoring across marine farming sites.

Responsibilities include maintaining feed equipment, monitoring fish behaviour, and supporting site maintenance while contributing to a safe, productive on-water operation. Training and safety are emphasized, with potential to gain Coxswain qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience working on the water and relevant marine tickets or qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Love being out on the water and looking for a role that offers both challenge and work-life balance? The On Water Maintenance team at Huon Aquaculture's Hideaway Bay operations is looking for a new team member to join us on a 7-days-on, 7-days-off roster.

About the Role

As a valued member of our On Water Maintenance crew, you'll work closely with our Hobart based Control Room to ensure our feeding and monitoring systems operate safely and efficiently across our marine farming sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining feed-related equipment, including cameras and winches.
• Monitoring fish behaviour and reporting predator activity.
• Responding to requests from the Control Room.
• Supporting general lease maintenance and site monitoring activities.
• Assisting with the upkeep and presentation of feed boats and feed barges.
