Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a compassionate Family Visit Worker to support children in foster care by maintaining meaningful family connections through safe, supervised visits. You’ll document observations and liaise with case managers to support ongoing care planning, while ensuring safety and wellbeing remain central.

Qualifications

• Strong observational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of child protection system and developmental needs is preferred.
• Experience building rapport with children and families is important.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and supervise family visits to ensure a safe, supportive and child-focused environment.
• Safely transport children and young people to and from scheduled family visits.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children, birth families, foster carers and relevant stakeholders.
• Observe family interactions, assess potential safety concerns and intervene as required.
• Prepare timely, accurate and unbiased reports of family visits for Case Managers.
