Job summary

DBH Lawyers in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer with 5+ years’ PAE to join our team and deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. You will manage a diverse family law caseload, mentor junior colleagues, and represent clients in mediations and court proceedings, with a client-centred approach and strong emphasis on relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience in family law.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills.
• A client-centred approach to legal practice.
• A keen attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Resilience and flexibility in meeting the demands of clients and courts.
• Experience with or an interest in complex property settlements.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional networks.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and negotiate on behalf of clients in mediations and family dispute resolution conferences.
• Represent clients in complex matters before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
• Prepare, review and settle high-quality correspondence and court documentation.
• Independently manage a diverse family law caseload and maintain client files.
• Work closely with senior team members on complex matters
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth and success of the family law practice.
• Represent the firm at industry and networking events, building professional relationships and business development opportunities.

About the Role

As our Family Law practice continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Lawyer with 5+ years' PAE to join our Adelaide office to play a key role in delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced and motivated solicitor who takes pride in building strong client relationships, providing strategic and practical advice and guiding clients through complex and challenging family law matters.

This position is offered on a full-time basis; however, part-time arrangements will be considered.

About You

This senior position offers the opportunity to work closely with the team to deliver efficient, high-quality legal advice in all aspects of family law where you will:

• Advocate for and negotiate on behalf of clients in mediations and family dispute resolution conferences.
• Represent clients in complex matters before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
