Uniting Communities in Adelaide is seeking a Youth Worker to engage with young people and their families in a therapeutic, strengths-based setting. You will work within a collaborative team to support at-risk youth and their families, focusing on goals around family, community supports, and personal development.

The role requires Cert IV in Youth Work or equivalent, a valid SA Driver’s Licence, and willingness to undergo psychometric testing and pre-employment checks.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with working with young people and families.
• Knowledge of adolescent development.
• Experience supporting individuals and families through conflict and crisis situations.
• Hold and maintain a full, unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License.
• Willing to under-go psychometric testing including a 1:1 interview with a psychologist.
• Medical assessing physical suitability for the role.
• Team player with a can-do attitude and strong communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Engage with the whole family and meaningful engagement activities with parents and young people.
• Take on a “Key worker” role to help set goals with young people, focusing on family and community supports.
