Transform lives, every single day
Do you want a career that means more? At Anglicare Sydney, we bring the strength, the support and the strategy to make it happen.
We’re a well-respected not-for-profit that’s been serving people in need for over 170 years. Each year, we achieve life-changing outcomes for thousands of people who rely on our person-centred support.
As our Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you’ll support families navigating separation and divorce to work through complex issues and develop practical, child-focused arrangements for the future.
You’ll provide high-quality family dispute resolution and property settlement mediation, supporting clients to develop parenting plans and property agreements while ensuring safety, fairness and the needs of children remain central to the process.
Be welcomed into a compassionate, respectful and purpose-driven community where we don’t just talk about values - we live them.
Working within our Community & Mission team and reporting to the Program Lead/Senior Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you’ll manage family dispute resolution matters from initial assessment through to completion.
You’ll undertake comprehensive assessments and preparation with clients, identifying issues such as domestic and family violence, safety concerns and power imbalances before determining whether mediation is appropriate. You’ll facilitate equitable participation between parties, help clients work through impasses and support them to develop parenting plans and property agreements within the relevant legal framework.
You’re an experienced and compassionate practitioner who can remain calm, impartial and focused when working with people navigating highly emotional and complex family circumstances.
You bring strong mediation and conflict resolution skills, excellent judgement and the ability to recognise safety concerns and power imbalances. You understand the importance of giving both parties an equitable opportunity to participate while maintaining a strong focus on the wellbeing and needs of children.
You’ll also bring excellent active listening and communication skills, emotional intelligence, reflective practice and the ability to work sensitively and confidentially with vulnerable clients.
We provide meaningful opportunities and choice, both for the individuals and communities we support and the dedicated people here who make it happen.
At Anglicare, you’ll get the security, stability and opportunities that come with a strong, well-established organisation that’s ready for the future. You’ll belong to a community of kind, humble and respectful people of all faiths and backgrounds. You’ll also be supported to gain new knowledge, deepen your experience and expertise, and shape a rewarding career.
On top of that, here are just some of the tangible benefits you will enjoy in a career with us:
We’re many services, with one purpose, to meet people where they are and walk with them. At Anglicare, we believe everyone is Made for Connection - with God, with each other and with the places we call home.
