Phoenix Source and Select is seeking a hands-on Factory Manager to lead the Western Sydney Head Office operations. You will oversee daily workshop activity, drive production, safety, quality, and team performance, while coordinating with management, foremen, and sales to meet ambitious schedules.

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience with WHS/OH&S requirements.
  • Forklift licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a large factory/workshop team.
  • Oversee daily production and workshop operations.
  • Monitor workflow, productivity and job completion.
  • Coordinate with foremen to meet standards and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS/OH&S policies and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Coordinate machinery maintenance, repairs and servicing.
  • Manage stock, materials, consumables and workshop requirements.
  • Coordinate daily deliveries and pickups.
  • Work with management and sales to meet production schedules.
  • Communicate with clients to meet expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and processes.
  • Maintain a professional, safe and productive workplace.

Factory Manager
Western Sydney | Monday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm | Friday 7:00am-1:30pm
Lead a large manufacturing team | Australian-owned business | Major Commercial, Industrial, Civil & Mining Projects
Join a well-established Australian-owned national manufacturer specialising in ducting, tubing and piping solutions across the Commercial, Industrial, Civil, Mining and Infrastructure sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of their Western Sydney Head Office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader looking to take ownership of a busy factory operation and make a genuine impact on productivity, safety, quality and team performance.

About the Role

As Factory Manager, you will oversee the daily workshop operations, working closely with management, section foremen, sales and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting a large factory/workshop team
  • Overseeing daily production and workshop operations
  • Monitoring workflow, productivity and job completion
  • Coordinating with section foremen to ensure projects meet required standards and deadlines
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS/OH&S policies and procedures
  • Identifying and resolving operational issues
  • Coordinating machinery maintenance, repairs and servicing
  • Managing stock, materials, consumables and workshop requirements
  • Coordinating daily deliveries and pickups
  • Working closely with management and sales to meet production schedules

About You

You will ideally have:

  • Previous management experience within a manufacturing environment

  • A current forklift licence is preferred
