Job summary

Unique Metals Laser is seeking a Factory Hand for the Tullamarine site, working the night shift from 10pm to 6am. The role involves forklift operation, loading/unloading, assembly work and routine fabrication tasks within a busy metal fabrication environment.

The successful candidate will have a current Australian forklift licence, be reliable, physically fit, and able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Forklift licence is essential.
• Reliable work ethic and high attention to detail.
• Hardworking and physically fit with good hand/eye coordination.
• Safety conscious in a busy environment and able to work in a team.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing will be required.
• Must have Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Packing and loading customer goods for pick up
• Unloading goods on trucks
• Operating a forklift
• Assembly operations
• Removing parts from laser cut sheets
• Unloading of parts from machines
• Grinding, sanding and linishing of laser cut metal components
• Tapping, nutserting and studding of components
• General housekeeping of work areas
• Assist with folding and fabrication duties
• Ad hoc tasks as directed by Production Supervisor.

We seek an experienced Factory Hand who will be responsible for:

• Packing and loading customer goods for pick up
• Unloading goods on trucks
• Operating a Forklift
• Assembly Operations
• Removing parts from laser cut sheets
• Unloading of parts from machines
• Grinding, sanding and linishing of laser cut metal components
• Tapping, nutserting and studding of components
• General housekeeping of work areas
• Assist with folding and fabrication duties
