About this Position:

Join us in delivering exceptional service at the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre (GSAC) and Lismore Memorial Baths (LMB). We provide excellent service to our patrons and take pride in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.

We are currently seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to temporarily join our team as the Facility Support Coordinator, covering a period of parental leave. This is a maximum-term, part-time contract opportunity for a duration of 10 months, starting in October 2025. This role is for 30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as opportunities arise. The hourly rate for this role is $35.51, plus superannuation.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and safe day-to-day operations of our facility. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, delivering excellent customer service, handling administrative tasks, and supporting staff through training and ongoing professional development. You will also assist both the Operations Manager and the Leisure Facilities Manager with various operational duties.

What we trust you to deliver:

  • Support in the oversight of the smooth day to day operations of GSAC and LMB, including resourcing and staff rosters.
  • Supervision of staff and assist with performance management, induction, training, recruitment.
  • Support the Operations Manager and Leisure Facilities Manager with overseeing GSAC and LMB operations, continuous improvement and succession.
  • Be flexible and assist staff within all areas of the centre: reception, pool, and other spaces to ensure all centre operations run smoothly.
  • Participate in formal and informal WHS discussions, hazard inspections, risk assessments and risk controls.

What you will need to be successful:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory and customer focused position.
  • Personal integrity and able to take responsibility.
  • Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety.
  • First Aid Certificate/CPR.
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
