Job summary

Gough Recruitment client in South East Queensland seeks a proactive Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a busy shopping centre. You will help maintain assets, manage minor maintenance tasks, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety, cleanliness and operational excellence on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational, maintenance or facilities roles.
• Shopping centre experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of WHS regulations and risk management.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain licenses.

Responsibilities

• Maintain centre assets and ensure procedures are followed.
• Ensure risk management and safety procedures are implemented.
• Monitor and liaise with contractors and service providers.
• Investigate and report incidents under WHS policies.
• Carry out minor maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Support tenancy fit-outs and coordinate with retailers.
• Participate in emergency control procedures and training.
