Job summary
Catholic Education - Diocese of Rockhampton invites applications for the Facilities Officer (Gardens, Grounds and Maintenance) at Marist College, Emerald. This full-time role supports the safe operation and enhancement of the school grounds, reporting to the Principal and coordinating with grounds staff and contractors.
The ideal candidate has hands-on facilities or grounds maintenance experience, strong time management, and a commitment to Catholic Education values.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in facilities, gardening or grounds maintenance.
- Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Secure grounds and equipment and keep the school safe.
- Mow, trim and fertilise lawns and turf areas.
- Repair and maintain irrigation systems.
- Weed, plant and fertilise gardens.
- Outdoor cleaning and use of high-pressure water cleaner.
- Identify and assist with minor building maintenance and repairs.
- Assemble, move and relocate furniture for events.
- Assist with event space setup and general caretaking of buildings and gardens.
- Collaborate with grounds staff and contractors for major repairs.
