Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited, via Delta FM, seeks a Facilities Manager for a Defence Site to lead day-to-day operations, oversee asset management and maintenance, and uphold safety standards. You will manage staff and subcontractors, ensure delivery of accommodation, building maintenance and cleaning within budget, and provide weekly/monthly reports to stakeholders.

Australian citizen requirement for Defence clearance may apply; on-call travel locally, regionally and interstate as needed.

Qualifications

• Operational experience in Site Management (Facilities/Accommodation)
• Hands-on and proactive approach to facility management
• Proven leadership and people management experience
• Ability to follow processes to achieve contract compliance
• Interpersonal skills, report writing, computer literacy and strong customer service
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally and interstate

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining effective client relationships

• Managing delivery of Emergency, Environmental and Work Health and Safety requirements for the Accommodation facility

THE POSITION

• Developing and maintaining effective business relationships with clients and customers
• Providing leadership to your team to achieve business objectives including fostering a culture where safety is a core value
• Managing the delivery of the Emergency, Environmental and Work Health and Safety requirements of the Accommodation facility and its licensed area.
• Managing staff and sub-contractors to ensure the operational delivery requirements of services including Accommodation Management, Building Maintenance, and Cleaning are met within budget and quality parameters
• Reviewing Policy and Procedures as they pertain to the management of the site
• Providing weekly and monthly reports on a strict timeline

THE PERSON

• Proven operational experience in Site Management (including soft and/or hard Facilities Management and/or Accommodation Management)
• A hands‑on and proactive approach to the management of the facility and its licensed area.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to follow processes and procedures to achieve contract compliance
• Well-developed interpersonal skills including report writing competencies, computer literacy and the ability to maintain high customer service standards and foster a positive team environment
• The availability to work on call, travel locally, regionally and interstate where required
