Job summary

SA Health’s Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Torrens Valley International Residence in Modbury SA is seeking a reliable handyperson to keep the facility running safely and efficiently. You will perform general maintenance, respond to requests, and coordinate with the facilities team and contractors to complete planned work while ensuring patient-care environments are safe.

The role requires experience in maintenance across trades, a current driver’s licence, and a strong safety mindset

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance or handyperson roles.
• Knowledge across multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, or electrical.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety in environments with vulnerable people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and minor trade work.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly to support patient care environments.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify faults early.
• Coordinate with facilities team and contractors for planned maintenance.
• Receive and distribute large deliveries.
